Design is a field that is age old and has been evolving every year like science. The world has changed a lot and a lot of new and wonderful careers in design have come up. Sometimes student Artists are too much enamored by Fine Arts preventing them to look objectively at Design. For e.g. science students do better if they go for CS or IT since that are areas where development is taking place rapidly. Similarly in Design the cutting edge areas are UID/ UXD, 3D Printing, Immersive Technology, Augmented Reality, 3D Projection etc, besides of course Game Design and Animation. Of course at the top of the pile lies Concept Designing (usually reserved for writers and visionaries) - these people are required by Event Companies, Animation Studios, VFX Studios, and of course Game Studios. At this stage, you may want to understand the creative world and the careers it offers. Interiors, textile as well as Web Design rely on the same skills - your layout skills and color sense. Journalism also is at this level and relies on your language skills and knowledge of history and current affairs. A little higher perches Graphic Design, Fashion Design, jewellery design, Acting, and Fine Arts which rely on one of your artistic skills - sketching and imagination. At a similar level perches VFX as well as Motion Graphics which rely on one of your artistic skills - Cinematographic skills and imagination. Then come careers like Animation, Film Making, Game Design which rely on multiple talents like your authority over sketching, acting, direction, voice, sound, writing, storytelling and problem solving skills etc. Any extra skill can be used in this. Getting Degree is not enough and selecting a career option is now a days is very tough job as well. Web Designing and Web Development are two different things. In Web designing u don't need much more technical knowledge but for Web Development like eCommerce Solution u need to to equipped urself with some of the languages like PHP, Javascript, HTML, DHTML, XML, CSS, AJEX lots of there. If u choose Linux platform for the Web Development then it will be having bright future. For Web Designing u need to go with Graphic Designing I don't think this is the for u.
Some new streams if u would like to look around. System Administrator, Network Administrator and Security Administrator are having very bright future. If u choose Linux platform fot this line then it will be the golden opportunity for u cos Jobs are awaiting for u. For that u can opt RHCE, RHCSS RHCA, CCNA Open Stack Cloud Computing, Cloud Storage will be ultimate course options.
My dear friend I would like to suggest u that instead of taking any national level brand go for any International Level brand.
My dear being your education u will get good opportunity in IT Industry. But getting only Degree is not the one thing U have to be practically sound as well. Right now the industry scenario is entirely different. Apart from the Degree or Diploma u have to be Specialized in any stream and get yourself as certified for the Industry. For that u must do any International Certification related with the stream according to any International Industry standards. like Microsoft Certified, Red Hat Certified, Cisco Certified, Oracle Certified, Sun Certified, IBM Certified are some of them.
If u ask me about the current Industry trends then i must say that now a days Industry is running around the Open Source model instead the proprietary base model. In that regards Red Hat Certification is highly in demand.

The basic eligibility criteria for admission into bachelor’s degree is, higher secondary school certificate (10+2) examination with science subject such as biology/ maths, physics and chemistry. For admissions into the IITs, the student has to clear the Joint Entrance Examinations (J.E.E). The duration for the course is 4 years.
