Scholarships are granted on merit alone and usually granted at the time of admission. For most of the cases you need not apply separately as all applicants are considered for scholarships at the time of application. How your profile will be evaluated by the university for scholarship is something outside my jurisdiction. Build your profile, work hard on your academics and extra curricular as well. Best of Luck!

If your interest is in agriculture then you can do PG in agriculture.
I suggest you not to persue diploma as doing diploma will not help you in getting job and you will spend your 1 year also.

Well there are plenty of things you can do after studying English Literature. Careers in publishing require people with backgrounds in English Literature very often.
