Agra: From 2015-16 academic session, Agra college will conducts its own entrance exams to admit students to various courses it offers. The students will no longer be admitted on the basis of the marks obtained in Class XII. The college will organize entrance tests for more than 3,000 seats under various courses.
This will the first time in Agra that any college will conduct an entrance exam for the admissions. The authorities of Dr BR Ambedkar University have suggested that all colleges in the city should conduct entrance exams for admissions in colleges. The varsity, however, has left the decision on colleges to conduct the entrance exams or select students on the basis of their marks in Class XII.
Agra College has a total of 3,260 seats for courses offered under BA, B.Sc and B.Com. More than 12,000 students had applied for admissions in the college in the last academic session 2014-15.
"The entrance test will be another opportunity for those students who are bright but couldn't get good marks in the board exams due to some reasons or the other. We will be conducting entrance exams for B.Sc and B.Com on July 18 while the entrance for BA course will conducted on July 19," said Surendra Singh, acting principal, Agra College.
The entrance test papers will have multiple choice questions. The paper will have 100 questions which will be answered on OMR (optical mark recognition) sheet. The time limit for students will be one hour 30 minutes. The students will be given information of their entrance exam results through SMS or e-mails.
"We will give 50% weightage to marks of the students he/she has obtained in the boards while 50% weightage will be given to the student's performance in the entrance test," added Surendra Singh.

In most cases, multinational companies registered with the SEC in USA have to provide audited annual financial statements per USGAAP. These financial statements are prepared by the internal finance team of the company. Since CMAs are well qualified in USGAAP and understand the SEC reporting requirements well, companies preparing their financial statements using USGAAP prefer to hire US CMAs for the job. The average salary package for a fresher CMA with no experience ranges from INR 4.5-6 Lacs p. a. Of course, with experience the salary increases and depending upon the role, compensations will vary. "
