Hydrogen economy (Hydrogen as fuel):
(i) The electricity cannot be stored in automobiles. It is not possible to store and transport nuclear energy. Hydrogen is an alternative source of energy and hence called the 'hydrogen economy". Hydrogen has some advantages as fuel.
(ii) Available in abundance in combined form as water.
(iii) On combustion produces H2O. Hence, pollution free.
(iv) H2O2 fuel cells give more power.
(v) Excellent reducing agent. Therefore, it can be used as a substitute of carbon in reduction for processes in industry.

You do not have much scope when it comes to the customization of the AME syllabus based on your interests because each institution keeps certain fixed subject modules for you to cover during the course duration to enable you to become certified aircraft maintenance engineers and get a license from the DGCA. You will learn about the core concepts, techniques, and procedures important to excel at your job.
The only scope is when you opt for the stream based on your interests, be it the Mechanical stream or the Avionics stream. A few subjects may vary in the syllabus for the two streams, but you cannot customize the syllabus.

The syllabus and course focus of both specializations would differ on the basis of the college offering the course. The approach of the AME Mechanical stream course is towards the maintenance of jet engines and piston engines, while the Avionics stream is more inclined towards the maintenance of electronic systems of the aircraft. You can choose the stream that interests you more.

There are two major categories of AME courses for you to opt for, one is the A program that is usually of 2-year duration with one year of academic training and classroom lectures, and the second year of hands-on experience in live environments.
Talking about the B programme in AME, which is all about the mechanical and avionics systems of the aircraft, you need to invest at least 2 years in academic training and the other one or two years in practical exposure and research opportunities.

Of course, you can pursue your MSc degree a few or even more years after you have completed your BSc, it's just that you might need to brush up on your old concepts in order to avoid facing difficulty in the coursework. In case you want to crack an entrance exam of an elite college, then too you will have to study your BSc syllabus beforehand.

Yes, of course. The Aircraft Maintenance Engg. admission can be easily done on the basis of Class 12 board exam marks, with more than 70 colleges in India taking in students via merit basis. Those top colleges may conduct extra admission rounds for admission, like the GD or PI, to assess the knowledge and capabilities of the applicants.

No, candidates cannot get direct admission to the courses at FIMS. The admission process is either entrance or merit based. There is no provision of direct admission to the courses. Canddiates wishing to secure admission to the programmes such as the BCom must appear for exams like CUET.
For merit-based admissions candidates are evaluated over their performance in Class 12.
