If you're specifically looking at CSE placements, I wouldn't judge a university only by the highest package it advertises. A better approach is to compare the recruiter base, average outcomes, internship opportunities, coding culture, industry collaborations, and placement support.

Some private engineering universities in Haryana that are worth considering are:

The NorthCap University, Gurugram – A strong option for CSE with regular hiring by IT and consulting companies, along with good industry engagement.
BML Munjal University, Gurugram – Known for its industry-oriented curriculum and practical learning environment, supported by its industry background.
Manav Rachna University, Faridabad – Offers established placement support and attracts recruiters from IT and engineering sectors.
Amity University Haryana, Gurugram – Has a broad recruiter network and placement opportunities across multiple technology domains.
Geeta University, Panipat – An emerging choice for students interested in industry-focused CSE education. It also has collaborations with Cisco, Oracle, AWS, Microsoft, GitHub, Red Hat Academy, EC-Council, and HubSpot, giving students access to certifications, hackathons, internships, and project-based learning alongside placement preparation.

I think it can definitely be worth pursuing B.Tech CSE with an AI & ML specialization from a private university in Haryana, but only if the specialisation is backed by genuine learning opportunities and not just a different name on the degree.

AI and Machine Learning are becoming part of almost every industry from healthcare and finance to manufacturing, cybersecurity, and e-commerce. That means students need much more than theoretical knowledge.

The quality of faculty and laboratory facilities.
Internship and live project opportunities.
Industry certifications offered during the course.
Placement support specifically for CSE students.
In my opinion, if a university combines a solid Computer Science foundation with meaningful AI & ML exposure and strong industry engagement, the specialisation can provide a real advantage when entering the job market. Ultimately, your skills, projects, internships, and continuous learning will matter far more than the specialisation name printed on the degree.
