This is a rapidly developing field. Many private businesses are exploring this field and heavily investing in it. It is safe to say that there are ample job opportunities for biotechnology graduates in private sector.
Government sector too offers job opportunities, but not in the scale in which private sector does.
Some prominent industries where biotechnology professionals may find jobs are:
1)Pharmaceuticals Industry,
2) Healthcare sector,
3) Chemical Industry and
4) Research sector.

The cut-off/percentage varies every year according to the number of students applying for examination and number of seats available. Dear for becoming an astronaut you need to complete engineering, so completing the engineering you have to do first 12th standard, or you have the option to do any diploma course, with any recognized institute. During the 12th standard you need to be prepared to appear for the various entrance exams. After completing engineering you can go in for job like in ISRO. You can also go in for a Masters course in India or abroad.
