1. If you wish to be a teacher in school, then go for B.ED and crack Teacher Eligibility Test. Eligibility conditions are:
(a) Bachelor's Degree with 50% marks in aggregate in the 10+2+3 or 11+2+2 pattern, or with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate in the 10+2+2 or 11+3 pattern
(b) Having studied at least two subjects at the bachelor’s degree level, to be later taken as school teaching subjects
2. Else if you aim at being a lecturer, then I would advice you to go for a regular masters degree in a relevant discipline and clear U.G.C NET conducted mainly to recruit research assistants and professors in various streams of education.
Qualifying Examination:
The candidates those who have completed their post graduation in related subjects from any recognized university are eligible for applying UGC-NET exam. The candidate must have a minimum of 55%.

Once students complete their B.Sc. in Statistics, they are eligible to apply for a large number of jobs in both the government and the private sector. Statistics has great application in many fields and industries such as bio-informatics, finance, data mining, management science, information technology, etc. A student can work under the Actuarial Science department in financial markets and share trading organizations. Under the private sector, a student after completing B.Sc. in statistics can join a MNC as a business analyst, software engineer, statistic analyst, investigation officer, and researcher, among others. A student can also take up lectureship as an option after completing higher studies in Statistics and join a college or a university as a Professor or Lecturer of Statistics.
One can also join the Indian Statistical Services in the government sector and join the top-notch people such as IAS, IFS, and other high-rank officers. To get into ISS, a student has to appear and clear the UPSC examination. However, one can apply for this service only after achieving a post-graduation degree (or equivalent qualification) in Statistics or Mathematics.
A student of statistics can also enter the SSC for the post of Statistical Investigators Officer. One can also join the Information Technology (IT), Insurance, or the Banking industry and pursue a job of interest. Students of Statistics can also get into medical sciences, investigating agencies, and the quality control departments of many private and government organizations. Some very renowned global organizations in Statistical Sciences are International Association for Official Statistics, Partnership in Statistics for Development in the 21st Century (PARIS21), United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), OECD, and Euro-Sat.
After completing B.Sc. Statistics from a renowned university, a student can get placed in any of the above jobs with a starting salary package of 1.5 lacs per annum. However, if one completes a post-graduation degree after doing B.Sc. in statistics, the starting salary in multi-national companies is in the range of 3 to 4.5 lacs per annum. One can also complete studies side by side and take up an employment to make money simultaneously.
