Choices should be made based on strength and aptitude. Career wise, both offers same avenues. If your father himself is a corporate person and has a successful career in this field, then listen to him, probably he may have sound reason. But if he is telling it based on somebody else's opinion, then stick to your aptitude and strength. Dual degree is no solution, as expertise of both fields are diluted, to cover in same time frame.
