A number of career avenues are open for Bachelor of Technology graduates after finishing their course in Avionics. Graduates can seek jobs in public and private sector organizations in different profiles
Career Avenues in the public sector
Institutions like the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) offer employment opportunities for Avionics graduates. The Indian Institute of Technology also recruits Avionics graduates for the post of Project Associate. A number of project fellowships are also offered by these institutions. Graduates can carry out research work with monthly stipends from these institutions.Opportunities are also available in the Indian navy. Candidates can get into Indian Navy under the Short Service Commission (SSC) scheme and/or the University Entrance Scheme (UES). Air India Air Transport Services Limited (AIATSL) also hires Avionics graduates for the position of Assistant controllers. .
Career Avenues in the private sector
Infotech Enterprises Limited is a private company that offers employment for B. Tech in Avionics graduates. It offers a salary of around Rs 14,000 per month in the beginning stage for the post of Assistant Design trainee. It also recruits graduates to the post of Assistant Design Engineer and Software Engineer Trainee.Employment opportunities are also available in Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) for Avionics graduates. Graduates can seek employment in a number of positions. Engineer, Deputy Manager, Manager, Senior Manager in Design etc are some of the posts available. The scale of pay depends on the experience of the candidate.
Companies like Vista Info Systems, Bell helicopter, etc also recruits Avionics graduates. Graduates can work in positions dealing with Avionics design and Avionics Systems.

West Bengal School Service Commission (WBCSSC) has invited application for recruitment to the post of TET (Teachers Eligibility Test).
The West Bengal Teacher Eligibility Test (WBTET) 2014 will be held by School Service Commission, for those candidates who wish to become Teachers in Primary (Class I to V) and Upper Primary (Class VI to VIII) Schools in the state of West Bengal. TET is a compulsory examination for all the B.Ed qualified Candidates to be considered for Teacher jobs in all Govt run schools and private schools.
Educational Qualifications:Candidates must possess the following qualification as per the post requirement.
-For Primary Teacher (Class I to V): Candidates must have passed in Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks or candidates appearing in final 2 years Diploma in elementary Education/4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed)/2 year Diploma in Education in Special Education.
-For Upper Primary Teacher (Class VI to VIII): Candidates must possess B.A/B.Sc and appearing in Final 2 year D.Ed/B.A/B.Sc with at least 45 % marks and passed/appearing in B.Ed/Secondary Education with at least 50% marks or passed in Final 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).

The number of MBA graduates produced in India is amongst the highest in the world. There is no ambiguity in saying that some business schools admits only freshers and some are admitting students with prior experience. The more diverse experience students have, the richer the learning experience. Students with experience bring practical problem-solving to the classroom, and they can learn from each other how a theory might apply across many industries.
An MBA is not a way to learn how to be an accountant, or a marketer, or any functional discipline, but instead a way to learn what you need of those roles, giving you a helicopter view to lead an organisation or cross-functional team.
If a student has no experience and enters into a graduate level job after an MBA, it might be many years before they get to apply their learning in practice.
Having all these said, let me provide an insight into the latest employment market trends that are increasing preference to recruit freshers. Large corporate are investing more and more on recruitment of freshers. Companies recruiting freshers are not only on the rise, but this investment is based on a long term cost effective strategy. This trend has not been limited to BPO, LPO and KPO sector. It has very much entered into other professions such as MBA, Engineering and Advertising Journalism, IT sector, Travel and Tourism, Data Entry, among others.
In the process, most of these companies recruiting freshers have tie-ups with campuses and universities, and spend considerable amount of time interacting with students who are about to graduate. One of emerging trend being observed now days is to hire or use the services of fresher job portals as a part of recruitment strategy.There are several dynamics in hiring of fresh candidates. One of the most important is the cost effectiveness of hiring a fresher. Companies find it easier to train a fresher rather than “converting” the experienced staff to unlearn their past practices and notions to readjust to the culture of the current company. Hence, the preferred practice is to train these freshers to reach the middle level positions in the same organization. This would also increase the loyalty of employees and help companies to retain quality performers for longer period of time.
So, it all depends on how much one is skilled and proficient in his field or what is his educational status?
