Mechatronics engineering is a multidisciplinary segment of the engineering field. Rather than embrace traditional divisions of engineering as distinct entities, it combines electrical engineering, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, and control engineering. In India, mechatronics is not that good filed for making a career but if you outside India such as Germany, USA, UK, Russia you'll find there is a huge demand for mechatronics engineers with good knowledge. Even the companies which manufactures the medical machinery needs the mechatronics engineer. After completing M.Tech (Mechatronics), you can find opportunities primarily in electronics industry. You can also work in fields like automobile, manufacturing, gas and oil, mining, transport, defence, robotics, aerospace and aviation. You may find opportunities in the Army, the Navy and the Airforce and organisations like the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). DRDO, Delhi, offers challenging opportunities for candidates with first-class degrees in Mechatronics engineering. IITs have the lowest fee. There is a huge facility for students not academically but also other circular activities such as cricket ground, lawn tennis, basketball court, swimming pool, volleyball court etc. The environment is also good since there is the finest brains. if you really want a government you don't need any additional certificates. Only you have to do is that Concentrate on your academic courses and prepare for GATE or IES. There is a bright future for mechanical engineers in India. Every year 20+ government companies hire mechanical engineers.
