Only some of the University nowadays offers degree honours. Earlier there were two scheme for graduation in traditional courses, like 2 years for normal degree and 3 years for degree honours. Nowadays most of the University is offering degree in 3 years, so there is no separate normal and honours degree.

You have made the right choice at the right time.Bsc.IT is very good and you can also go out in the market and get IT related job on the basis of Bsc.IT provided you have skills.One good thing that you have done is by joining GNIIT which is superb.And as far as the job is concerned NIIT will help you since you are a student of NIIT.So as far as the courses are concerned you have made the right choice and now the only thing that you have to do is study well.if you are interested imn programming languages like me then focus on them or if you are interested in Networking you should focus on that.

You may get admission only in Private Engineering college under management quota, One of the good option is Sandip Foundation, Nashik. It is having one of the best infrastructural facility , you may check their website www.sandipfoundation.org, you will have ample idea about them.
