LPU is not having any designing course of 1year Duration.
It has 3yr diploma after 10th
B.Sc Or B.Design of 3 and 4 years respectively.
And master of 2years.
In Lateral entry B.S would be of 2years and B.Design would be of 3years.
You have to meet the eligibility criteria for taking admission.

If you mean Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS), then it is a good course to pursue and it offers good career prospects and excellent growth opportunities.
The BMS program usually includes general business courses and advanced courses for specific concentrations.
The degree is designed to give a broad knowledge of the functional areas of a company, and their interconnection, while also allowing for specialization in a particular area.
The degree also develops the student's practical managerial skills, communication skills and business decision-making capability.
I would suggest that once you complete your BMS you should work for 2-3 years and then opt for MBA as it will further enhance your career prospects.

As per your query it seem that you are currently pursuing B.Tech in civil engineering, so once completed you have 2 options:
1.To opt for a job.
2.To opt for further studies (MBA, M.Tech etc)
However, as per your profile I would suggest you to work for 2-3 years after completing your B.Tech and then opt for further studies.The advantage of this step would be:
- You will gain relevant work experience.
- After working you will know which course to pursue that can further enhance your career prospects, i.e. if you wish to build your career in technical field, then you may pursue M.Tech, whereas if you are interested in management then you may pursue MBA.
- If you are interested in pursuing MBA, then this work experience would help you to decide which specialization to opt in MBA that can further enhance your career prospects.
- The other advantage of work experience would be that during admission in MBA, you will have advantage over candidates with no work experience.
Finally if you work for some years then you may yourself manage the expenses for your further studies.
Please note that, the final selection in MBA or PGDM program is made on the basis of:
1. Education background of the students.
2. Score in various management entrance tests like CAT, MAT, etc.
3. Performance in group discussions and personal interview.
4. Work experience if any.
