You can appear for NIFT entrance many times. There is no limitation in appearing for NIFT, but there is age limit up to which you can sit for NIFT. Maximum age should be 23 years by October of that year you are appearing for Entrance.

It depends on the cut off. Basically, 85% seats are reserved for state students. So if you're from Tamil Nadu then maybe there's little chance.
