IIT Kharagpur BSc course admissions are done based on candidates’ performance in JEE Main followed by JEE Advanced. Thus, in order to apply for BSc and Integrated MSc at IIT Kharagpur, students must first appear for JEE Mains exam. Students who qualify the JEE Main, are further required to appear for JEE Advanced. After the result of JEE Advanced, students enroll in JoSAA counselling. JoSAA is a centralized counselling portal meant for admissions in top institutes of India. Once the seat is allocated via JoSAA counselling, the candidate must pay partial fees on the portal itself. Further the students have to report at the allocated institute and pay the remaining fees to secure their admission.

BSc at IIT Kharagpur is a four years UG-level programme offered with six specialisations for students to choose from. IIT Kharagpur also offers a five-year Integrated MSc programme for students willing to pursue a PG integrated course. Admission to both these courses is based on JEE Main and JEE Advanced scores followed by JoSAA counselling. Candidates seeking admission must qualify for both the entrance exams for admission to IIT Kharagpur.

In order to be eligible to apply for IIT Kharagpur BSc courses, candidates must have completed Class 12 with a minimum of 75% aggregate with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1999. Five years’ age relaxation is given to SC, ST, and PwD candidates, i.e. these candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1994.
