I presume you are talking about the PGDM program, as in, Post Graduate Diploma in Management, offered by reputed B Schools, which is equivalent to an MBA program. If that is the case, you should necessarily look at taking the CAT test in November. You should look at scoring at least 95 percentile in your CAT, to have a realistic chance of making it to the top 50 B Schools in India. On the other hand, if you are talking about the one year diploma program, I strongly suggest you drop it. It will not give you any kind of leverage, as far as your career is concerned

I do appreciate your aspiration of working independently. It is a very courageous decision. As far as the CA course is concerned, you can practice on your own, once you pass the course. Please ensure that the choice of program is right. You should like the subject from the heart and have a liking for number crunching. I am sure you have taken these aspects into consideration

There are world class B Schools in India. I really do not see any point in doing an MBA from abroad, unless you are looking at B Schools which come under the Ivy League. Kindly give it a serious thought before you make a decision.
