No, it is not mandatory to appear for both PSTET Paper 1 and 2. Candidates have to choose to appear for one, depending on their desired teaching level.
- Paper 1 is for- teach classes I to V

The syllabus is based on the topics covered in the primary and upper primary school curriculum.
