Placement possibilities are provided to postgraduate students enrolled in the Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) programme at the Post-Graduate Institute of Dental Science (PGIDS) in Rohtak, Haryana :

Out of a cohort of 18 students, an impressive 16 have successfully secured placements, marking a remarkable 100% placement rate. The median salary attained by the graduates stands at an impressive Rs. 17.15 Lakhs per annum. The number of BDS students placed over the past three years indicates a fluctuating trend. It increased by 40% from 2019 to 2020 and then dropped slightly from 2020 to 2021. According to the report released, 20 BDS students were placed during PGIDS, Rohtak placements in 2021. It has a 67% placement rate for BDS.

ALL-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and Max Healthcare are the two top recruiters at PGIDS, Rohtak.

2023 saw postgraduate postings in the fields of medicine and allied sciences at the Post-Graduate Institute of Dental Science (PGIDS). About 60 students were placed out of each year. The lowest annual package available was 1.4 Lakhs rupees, while the highest package was 2 Lakhs rupees. The fifth-year students (internship batch) at PGIDS, a government dental college, performed tasks including scaling, denture work, extractions, and diagnostics. The dental school at the institute still offers its students excellent prospects.

PGIDS, Rohtak is a govt. institution and hence provides facility regarding refund of fees.

The fee shall be refunded/adjusted if the candidate is shifted in subsequent counselling from one Institute to another. In case of request for withdrawal of admission by a candidate the fee shall be refundable to the candidate, only if the request is made in person along with original receipt of fee deposition and no request shall be entertained through e-mail. The candidate will have to make the request at least 03 days prior to the last date prescribed for admission to MD/MS/MDS courses.  

Candidates need to attend NEET-UG exam conducted by NTA. After qualifying for the NEET entrance exam, candidates must apply in the Haryana NEET Counselling, conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER) in Haryana. You need to clear the cut-off marks to be eligible for admission.

The application fees for Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) at PGIDS, Rohtak is 2500 for unreserved candidates and 1250 for reserved candidates and course fees is around 52,000 yearly excluding other charges.

PGIDS, Rohtak provides admission in both under-graduate (BDS) and post-graduate (MDS with specialisations in many domains) courses.

The NEET application process started from 9 feb'24 to 16 feb'24. Admit card will be released in May'24 with exam on 5th May and result in June. So, according to the events scheduled the admission process in PGIDS should start after the result declaration of NEET for BDS.

The NEET MDS 2024 application process was reopened from 9 March to 11 March 2024. The exam was being scheduled on 18 March.

The basic eligibility criteria for admission to the BDS course is pass in Class 12 with a minimum of 50% aggregate. The accepted entrance exam is NEET. Students must clear the NEET exams for successful admission to the BDS course. Prior preparation works best for the students.

If you want to take admission in PGIDS, Rohtak then you will also be aware that it is in the top 3 rank of dental colleges in India. So, to take admission might not be that easy.

To get admission in BDS at PGIDS, Rohtak, students must pass Class 12 from a recognised board with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in PCB/Biotech combined (40% for SC/ST).

Candidates seeking admission also needs an NEET dental scorecard for both UG and PG courses.
