Hi Kiran,
Although a student visa doesn't allow you to take full time job,you could surely do with a bit of extra income.As a international student you are permitted to work upto 4 hours/day,but not more than 180 half days/year.Both on campus and off-campus work is permitted.In any case,knowledge of German language is a strong plus point for a job.

There are not many Institutes in Mumbai giving PhD in Commerce. However, you can try with University of Mumbai & SNDT Women's University
