Your rank is not enough to get admission in top colleges like NIT's, IIT'S AND IIIT'S. Because the admission in this colleges is based on the cut off and cut off changes every year. But you get admission in private colleges. You give JEE Main so you are eligible for Jossa counselling. Do your JOSSA counselling and firstly fill those colleges in which you think to take admission. Jossa counselling is started from 2023.

The admission process and seat allotment for PG law courses in colleges in India are governed by various factors such as the candidate's rank in the entrance exam, the availability of seats, reservation policies, and other eligibility criteria. Without knowing the specific details of the college or university that you are interested in, it is difficult for me to provide an accurate answer to your question.
However, securing a rank of 578 in PGLCET is a good achievement, and you have a chance of getting admission to a reputed college for PG law studies. The cutoff rank for free seats or fee reimbursement in PG law colleges may vary based

When it comes to placement opportunities, CSE definitely has more options than BioTechnology, regardless of which college you choose. However, opinions about Bennett and SRM colleges are mixed. Some people think that Bennett is good, while others are unhappy with the mess and faculty. On the other hand, SRM is a better option than Bennett in terms of faculty, clubs, and college life.
If your priority is placement, then I would recommend choosing the college where you have secured a CSE branch. However, if your priority is a good college life with access to various hubs and a quality mess, then I would suggest choosing SRM.

I will tell you about a General Category Male candidate (The most screwed guy for JoSAA)
JEE Mains Rank is 10887 (185 marks after revaluation of answer key). Below expectation result in Advanced, so can't get IIT (10782). Didn't had Interest in any branch but by placements, I could understand why everyone preferred CSE. But CSE, I could not get in any top NIT (Not in my own city), my father is a contractor and told me about civil engineering and it's long term gains (which we cannot forsee just by looking at the placements of UG ), so chose it. (would not have taken mechanical even if I got it in IITB). .

N.I.T Hamirpur does not allow branch change after 1st year . The main reason of this strict rule is syllabus , basically syllabus of 1st year is designed considering use of subject for department . I.e If you are. Engineering physics and your branch is electronics your syllabus of physics would be electronics oriented .Also in N.I.T Hamirpur from very 1st year branch related subjects is included in syllabus. If you are in electronics you will have to go through with basic electronics which is generally taught in 2nd year in other colleges.
