Hi,
Ph.D admissions abroad are competitive and requires you to first identify your supervisor or professor with whom you want to work, if you haven't contacted any professors yet, you should do that. You have to find a supervisor yourself through the university search options.
Past research experience and/or demonstration of research work/publication is essential. Visit the university websites and department pages, make application enquiries and contact the supervisors sharing your profile and research topic interest. Your CV, statement of purpose, academic letters of reference will also be evaluated at the time of admissions.

I can say confidently that both of the degrees are waste interms of time and money as well as value if you don't do it from premiere colleges. Starting salary of a BBA graduates depends on the college from which he/she graduated. If it is IIM Indore then salary will range from 4L to 14L otherwise some where between 1L to 2L.
