According to UGC NET guidelines, candidates can apply for the exam with the subjects in which they have cleared their post graduation or related to that subject. As per your subject, you are eligible to take UGC NET exam with Environmental Science subject. You have not specified about the state you belong to, however all the Diploma engineering admissions are done after the 10th. In many states, admissions are based on the merit (marks obtained in 10th). Hence, you can take the admission.
