Yes, many students are heading for US or Canada or Western European countries. The countries which are witnessing decline in population are faced with reduced intake in their well-established colleges and hence offer good scholarships to prospective students. Hence, you have good chances of getting admission in any of the European or Canadian institutes. However there are many nuances to the whole process and hence I will strongly advise you to approach an agency which is dealing with sending students abroad and particularly to Western Europe or Canada. Hello Ketan, Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology is one of the most sought after colleges for students across India. As a result of this the minimum marks required to get into this institute of pretty high. I think you are from the state of Gujarat and for you it will be further higher since many students will prefer to take admission in this college in Surat. I am attaching a link that will give you all the required information about cutoffs for various branches and for various categories of students for admissions of previous year. Here a word of caution. Every year the ranking of the merit of the student in JEE Mains who can get into this college changes because of various factors and this should be treated only as a reference and not as the final figure.
