Here's a clear overview of the MAH HM CET 2026 counselling process (for both B.HMCT – undergraduate hotel management and M.HMCT – postgraduate hotel management) conducted by the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP): 

1. Eligibility for Counselling

You must:

Qualify MAH HM CET 2026, meaning your name appears on the result/merit list.

Meet the minimum eligibility criteria (10+2 for B.HMCT; relevant bachelor's degree for M.HMCT). 

2. Online Registration for Counselling (CAP)

After the CET results are declared, the CET Cell opens the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) portal for registration.

You register online and pay the counselling/registration fee (fee depends on your category and course). 

Typical Counselling Registration Fees (indicative):

General: Around ₹1000–₹1200

Reserved categories: Lower fee (₹800–₹1000)

NRI/OCI/Foreign candidates: Higher (around ₹5000)

3. Document Verification

After registering:

You upload/submit supporting documents online (and in some cases may visit designated facilitation centres for offline verification).

Originals plus scanned copies are required. 

Common documents typically required:

Class 10th mark sheet

Class 12th mark sheet (for B.HMCT) or relevant degree mark sheets (for M.HMCT)

CET admit card and result/score

Identity proof, nationality/domicile certificates

Category/reservation certificates (if applicable)

4. Merit List & Seat Matrix

Once document verification is complete, the CET Cell releases the provisional and final merit lists.

They also publish the seat matrix (number of seats available per category in participating institutes).

5. Choice Filling & Locking

You log in to the CAP portal to select your preferred colleges/courses from the available options.

After entering choices in priority order, you must lock them before the deadline. 

6. CAP Rounds & Seat Allotment

The counselling is usually conducted in multiple rounds (CAP Round‑1, Round‑2, Round‑3, etc.):

Seat allotment happens based on your merit rank, category, and the choices you filled.

Provisional allotment lists are published after each round. 

Typical flow:

CAP Round‑1: Online choice filling → seat allotment → acceptance & reporting

CAP Round‑2 & Round‑3: For vacant seats – you can upgrade or participate in further rounds if not allotted earlier

Final round: Last chance to fill remaining seats

Institute reporting & fee payment after final allotment 

7. Reporting to Allotted Institute

Once a seat is allotted in a CAP round:

You confirm the seat by accepting it online.

Then physically report to the allotted institute within the specified deadline (along with required documents and fees). 

Failing to report/accept within time generally leads to forfeiture of the seat.

8. Tentative Timeline (2026)

Online counselling registration: Typically starts in July 2026 (shortly after results).

Document verification & provisional merit lists: July 2026.

CAP Rounds 1–3: July – early August 2026 (tentative).

Final admissions & reporting: By mid‑August 2026 (tentative).

• Find the right partners who help you to speak in English and encourage you to further your English speaking even when you make mistakes in the learning phase. In this process, you get in-depth learning as you learn from your mistakes and constantly work on improving them. 
• Immerse yourself in English, whatever you do, be it watching movies, listening to podcasts or audio stories or taking lectures, do it in English. This will help you get good English listening practice so that when you engage in a real conversation in English, you will be able to comprehend what others are saying easily. 
• Read more books and write personal notes in English. Reading books rewards you with getting a chance to get introduced to some great vocabulary which will help you to articulate your ideas effectively and impressively.

For undergraduate (UG) admission at Symbiosis International University, Dubai, you don't need a specific GPA like in U.S. universities (4.0 scale) — but you *do need a minimum academic performance in your 12th grade or equivalent qualification. 

Minimum Academic Requirement

You must have completed Grade 12 (or equivalent) with a minimum of 60% overall marks to be eligible for most undergraduate programs at Symbiosis Dubai. 

In GPA terms for Indian or international boards:
