Hi,
To teach primary classes, you need to clear Central Teacher Eligibility Test.
TET will have two papers with multiple-choice questions-
**Paper I will be for those intending to become teachers for classes I-V.
**Paper II will be for those aspiring to teach between classes VI and VIII.
Those interested in teaching from Class I to VIII will have to appear for both papers.
Eligibility Criteria:
**The minimum qualification for classes 1 to 5, Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or applying in final 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (or its equivalent). (OR) Senior Secondary or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and passed or aspiring in final 4 year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B. El, Ed).
**The minimum qualification for classes 6 to 8, B.A/B.Sc with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1 year Bachelor in education (B.Ed). (OR) BA/B.Sc with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1 year B.Ed (Special Education).

Eligibility
i) A composite score of 600 or above in the Management Aptitude Test (MAT) conducted by AIMA in either September -2012 and December 2012 OR 70 percentile or above in the Common Admission Test 2012 (CAT) conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs)
And
ii) 50% or above marks in aggregate in the Undergraduate Examinations. (Applicants who are in the final year of their studies should have 50% or above aggregate in all the Semesters/Years of Undergraduate Examinations conducted so far) Students writing their final degree examinations in March-May 2013 are also eligible to apply.
Minimum Score specified for MAT/CAT is only an eligibility criteria and the actual score thereof shall have no bearing in the selection process
