Going by last year's numbers you do clear the academic cutoffs. Rest depends on your CAT percentile. An overall percentile above 85 will have a good chance of getting a call in OBC category.

After completing diploma in Electronics and Communication engineering, you may join lateral B.Tech course in which you can directly enter into the second year. Degree course will open more opportunities for you.

Eligibility Criteria for Lateral B.Tech course :
You need to score minimum aggregate of 60% marks in the diploma course. You need to sit for Lateral Entry Entrance Test or LEET which is conducted at state level. Some colleges and Universities too conduct their own lateral entry tests.

Some of the colleges offering lateral B.Tech course are :
-IIMT College of Engineering
-HMR Institute of Technology and Management
-Amity
