Delhi Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (DIHM) is one of the most popular choices for students who want to pursue a career in the hospitality sector. It started functioning from a small portion of the Polytechnic building in Kashmere GATE in 1983. Through constant upgradation and efforts, DIHM has become an autonomous public institute. It is affiliated with the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT). The Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology offers seven courses in total. This includes a degree course, one PG Diploma course, and five Trade Diploma courses. All the courses are offered in full-time mode. For Trade Diploma courses, the institute has a mandatory six-month training session that provides real-world exposure to the students. As an initiative to enhance the job opportunities for the students, the Delhi Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology also supports the 'Hunar Se Rozgar' initiative of the organizing body.
