KIIT is a reputed institute and more preferred over UPES. Better to go for KIIT. KIIT is a deemed university means equivalent to NITs,BITS etc. UPES is just a pvt university equivalent to LPU and Sharda. Choice is yours.

Yes,in india there are some colleges,
University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), Dehradun
University of Petroleum & Energy Studies, Hauz khas, Delhi
Rajitlal Institute of Technology and Health Sciences (RITHS), Thiruvananthapuram
and it required cat and mat entrance exam score.
