You can expect to get into good government colleges of your state with 550 marks. However, it may not be enough to get you into the top medical colleges of the country but it 100% guarantees you a seat in M

Class 12 marks are important for placements in some cases. However, if you have an 8.5 CGPA, that is a good score and should be sufficient for most placements.  12th marks won’t affect your chances in the placements, especially when you have pretty good marks so far in bachelor’s.

That being said, a high score in your 12th exams surely looks great on your resume.

Based on your NEET 2023 score of 340 and your All India Rank (AIR) of 33500 in the ST category, it might be difficult to get a government seat for BAMS. The category-wise cut off for BAMS in NEET 2023 percentile for the general category is 50th and for SC/ST/OBC it is 40th .

For a general category student with a marks of 340, getting a BAMS government college might not be possible. Usually the cut off for general category students for BAMS goes around 460+ in government ones .

You can consider the options of private BAMS colleges where you have more chances of getting seat .

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.
