First, complete 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry & Maths, typically with around 45–50% aggregate—some sources mention 50% minimum

Next, take the WBJEE (West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam)—this is the main gateway into their B.Tech programs. They also accept JEE Main scores in some cases.

If you have a Diploma in Engineering, you can join via lateral entry in the second year by taking the JELET exam

Once the results are out, register for WBJEE counseling, choose RKMGEC, get your documents verified, and secure your seat by paying the fees.

KIT usually declares semester exam results about 3 to 5 weeks after the exams are over. For supplementary exams, it's a bit quicker—around 2 to 4 weeks.

Students can check their results directly on the VKIT ERP portal. You'll also get updates from your department or through official notices.
