The job profiles on completion of the course include project managers, database or information management consultants, data architects, business systems analysts and designers, database administrators, information resources managers, data analysts, web specialists, software engineers, programmers, and application developers.
If you hail from Electronics & Communications background whereas this course is more suited for those from Computers background. Yet it is completely your choice.
You can also opt for SAP ABAP where jobs available include application developer, delivery project manager and technical team leader. You should be able to designs, develops and supports application solutions with focus on SAP Netweaver - Advanced Business Application Programming.

Dear Amit,
With 47% of marks at graduation level you obviously can go for PGDM but the problem is your marks has limited your options. So unfortunately you won't be able to sit for the most of the popular MBA entrance exams like CAT,SNAP,CMAT,XAT,IIFT which demands for 50% of marks in aggregate or more.
But if you try and look at the positive side of things then you have MAT. MAT stands for Management Aptitude Test and this exam is conducted by the AIMA. It is also a National level MBA entrance exam and on scoring good marks in this examination you can get the chance of studying MBA in some of the popular B-Schools in our country.
The main advantage of going for MAT is that it is conducted for four times a year. So you will always have lots of opportunities at hand to better your score if you think the first time experience didn't go too well.
This exam can be given by anyone who has got a bachelor's degree in any discipline of his choice. It just needs to be acquired from a recognized university. Since the minimum percentage to attain has not been mentioned therefore the pass marks would do.
Now Talking about Placement it would effect in someway but if you would get good score in Your PGDM then Companies will welcome you. Companies has different rules for placement. Just do your best in PGDM.
