Candidates who obtains at least 60 percent marks in the aggregate in the qualifying examination M.A. Statistics from a recognised University are eligible for the admission. So after completion of M.A. Statistics and with a valid GATE score, you can study the M.Tech programs. You can take M.Tech Software Engineering or Computer Science & Engineering or Information Security or Computer Applications. The courses are available in various universities in India.

If I may ask why you want to spend four years to this course whereas you can do PG and halfway through to your doctorate in Chemistry in this period? However if you still want to pursue, you need to appear for and clear entrance test that is assigned by your state for admission to engineering colleges.
