Hello Shridhar, Aah! Admissions in good engineering college? As per reports based on last year's admission process, done seats remained vacant even in IITs and NITs. So, anyone with minimum marks also could have obtained admission. Actually, half of seats could not be filled. But on the other hand in some branches, there was great rush. So, it actually depends on branch also. As a rule of thumb, one can say that 70% in CET could get you seat in good college while for top branch it could be 90 percentile.
Best wishes to you.

Hello Abey Vignesh,
My personal opinion is that all the NIT'S have almost same or similar level of academic excellence. The difference is only marginal and theoretical. However the perceptions matter a lot and that creates differences of opinion. But then seeking admission in a particular NIT is dependent on the percentile that you will score in JEE Mains. I will suggest you one method. I am attaching a link that will predict college for you based on the percentile. Keep on inputting the percentiles from 70 to 99 and see what different colleges turn up in your search, then you can select the one that you want. https://www.shiksha.com/b-
