Different Universities will have different criteria, but in most of the cases Lateral entry students have to appear for one or the entrance examination.

Hi, the course you have mentioned about is a new course. I suggest you have a back up plan as well. Many a times if the Universities do not have good number of admissions for any course, the course is normally taken off the year. So if this is the only univ and course you have in hand then keep another course at another univ or the same univ as a back up option. Strathclyde univ is a well known univ in the UK.
I suggest that you work hard and try to find a job in UK and gain a few years of work ex and only then come back to India. If you immediately come back after studies, then let me tell you very frankly the Indian market is not awar
