Please let us know in detail which course you are pursuing currently pursuing for better advice.
However, if you have given your class 12th exam, then I would suggest you to opt for a undergraduate degree in hotel management.
While pursuing this course you may opt for specialization in:
- Front office.
- Food and beverage services.
- Food and beverages production (cooking and baking)
- House keeping.
Once you complete this course, you should work for 2-3 years in hotel or resturant and gain relevant work experience and then opt for full time general MBA or PGDM program.
While working you will know how day to day operations are carried out in a hotel and resturant industry, plus you will also be aware of market conditions, all this would surely be helpful for you once you start your own resturant.
In order to pursue full time MBA or PGDM program you need to be graduate in any field with atleast 50% marks in graduation, plus you need to take various management entrance test like CAT, MAT, XAT, SNAP, etc.
The final selection in MBA or PGDM program is made on the basis of:
1. Education background of the students.
2. Score in various management entrance test.
3. Performance in group discussions and personal interview.
4. Work experience if any.
