Firstly, JIIT is a Deemed University.
Supreme court has granted stay and status quoto to the 44 Deemed Universities. Please refer to the Hon'ble supreme court orders . The Hon'ble Supreme court is the Apex court in India and its orders even "status quo "has to be abided by the Governments.
We must understand that status quo means that Pre- Case status must be maintained by all the parties involved in Litigation. The status of Deemed Universities thus continue to be same as before filing of MHRD proposal i.e JIIT Continues to be the University. The details are loaded on our web site at link:

Admission to part time courses is done at the institute level through a 2 step selection process (starting October every year)
· Common Entrance Test (MH-CET)
· Group Discussion (GD)
CET is a multiple-choice objective test evaluating the aptitude of the student in various areas like verbal ability, quantitative aptitude, logic, visual reasoning, reading comprehension and data interpretation.
Test is followed by a GD round after which the candidate is finally selected.
Notification for the same is put up on the website as well as published in leading newspapers in October or november

For admission in a bachelor’s degree, you need to complete 10+2 examination with science subject such as physics, maths and chemistry.The duration for this course is 4 years.For admission in top colleges like IITs, NITs, IIITs , Bits Pilani, DTU you have to clear JEE (Main) , JEE (Advanced) , BITSAT.
There are also some state and all India level entrance exams after clearing them you also have chance for good colleges.
Few of them are:
KARNATAKA CET(Only for Karnataka Students)
UPSEE,
CET,
COMEDK,
EAMCET( Only for Andhra Pradesh Students),
KEAM,
GPET,
etc.
