Placement in CUSAT is almost good. Safety fire branch students gets directly placed in PSUs and many MNCs directly with packages of INR 12 to 14 LPA. Then it comes for CS IT, ECE guys. Awesome placements of them too. Many software firms from Bangalore and Chennai comes for recruitment with average package of INR 8 to 9 LPA. Now, the turn is for core branches like EEE, MECH, CIVIL. In the last 3 years none of the core companies came for recruitment. But yes, these branches have placements i.e in software companies like TCS, etc. With very poor package of INR 3.15 LPA.
