Hello Hritika, yes these two types of institutions have quite good name and ranking in the minds of students. But then there are other government colleges also in your own state or in some other states which also have good reputation academically as well as during placements. But gftis and iiit are definitely good institutions. Best wishes to you.

Hello Pooja, I must congratulate you for scoring so handsomely in JEE Mains. Your ranking of 7500, even if in category of SC, is quite good. I am sure you should get admission in your desired NIT with this. But as a rule of thumb, to get admission in home state NIT is very tough. To help you I am attaching a link that can predict college and the branch that you can get based on your performance in JEE Mains. https://www.shiksha.com/engineering/jee-main-college-predictor
Best wishes to you.

Hello Sameer, your percentile of 63.5 and the ranking of almost 4 Lacs are a bit on the lower side. With this performance, I am afraid your chances of getting admission in any branch or quite tough. However if you are interested only in this particular branch then perhaps the option open to you is management quota in private colleges. You need to contact the management on individual basis since not much information is available in the public domain about the process and fees that are charged for this quota. Best wishes to you.

No wonder both of them are highly-reputed colleges, the decision is based on your interest. DAIICT provides degrees in ICT (information and communication technology) and ICT+minors in CS (computational Science). These are computer field related programs and highly beneficial for future studies, placements, research-based opportunities. If you are interested in mechanical engineering and have no interest in programming, computers what so ever, you should surely go for BITS. If you want to look 5 years ahead and get placed in reputed IT companies, go for DAIICT. Computers, cloud technology, machine learning is the future, and the DAIICT
