Indian Institute of Technology, BHU is a prominent Engineering institute offering a large variety of courses. IIT Varanasi has several branches that offer programmes in different specialisations. IIT Varanasi offers several UG, PG, and doctoral courses in Engineering & Technology, Science, Architecture, and Pharmacy. These include BTech, MTech, BArch, MSc, MPharma, and PhD. Admission to BTech is based on JEE Main followed by JEE Advance. M.Tech admission is based on GATE scores. 

JEE Main counselling schedule is released by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority after the declaration of the JEE Main result. The counselling shall be conducted in the months of June and July, tentatively. There seat allotment process is carried out through JoSAA counselling. Students securing the required marks in JEE Advanced become eligible for participation in counselling for admission to NITs, IIITs and other GFTIs including IIT BHU.

As of the moment, NTA has not disclosed the dates for JEE Main 2024. It is anticipated that the official notification will be unveiled in the initial week of December 2023. Historically, the examination has been conducted in two sessions, typically in January and April. A comprehensive timetable will be provided within the official announcement.

A candidate's eligibility for admission to IIT BHU is contingent upon their programme and eligibility category, which can include General, OBC, SC, ST, and other categories. To get admitted into a well-known BTech program, like Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, an applicant usually needs to place in the top 1,000–2,000 of the JEE Advanced exam. It is advised to check the admissions standards and cutoff ranks published for the current academic year on the official IIT BHU website for more accurate and up-to-date information on the rank needed for a particular program. 

If you have secured at least 55% marks in Masters Degree or equivalent examination from universities or institutions recognised by UGC in Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science etc. are eligible for this. These conditions should be meet to eligible for this exam.

The admissions procedure for the BTech programmes at IIT BHU is open to students who have successfully finished their Class 12 education from an accredited board with an overall score of 75% or better. Class 12 graduates can also apply to the Indian Institute of Technology BHU for undergraduate programmes. BTech, MTech, and MPharma undergraduate programmes are offered at IIT BHU. Admission to all of these undergraduate programmes at IIT BHU is decided through national entrance exams, with students being chosen according on their performance. IIT BHU also provides doctoral-level courses and Diploma programmes.
