Many colleges and universities allow students with gap years to apply for admission, and some even have specific programs designed for students who have taken a break before continuing their education. When you apply for admission, it is important to be transparent about your gap year and explain what you did during that time. You can also highlight any skills, knowledge, or experiences you gained during your break that may be relevant to your chosen field of study. It

Hello Reema, it's very nice to hear from you that your son intends to do engineering. He must choose PCM combination for 12th. Please ask him to understand the subjects well in his 11th and 12th. This helps greatly in clearing JEE Mains examination as well as JEE Advanced. You can also think of sending him abroad for undergraduate studies if you can afford the same. But foremost is, please try to find out about his inclination by going to counsellor. Best wishes to you.
