The function of a cyber security professional is to protect the data and systems in the network that are connected to the internet. A hacker tries to find loopholes in a system and break into it.
The job of a cyber security professional is the same as of a typical hacker, albeit with a difference, i.e. to fix the loopholes in a system before it is exploited by the hackers.
You may pick either as each offers a promising career with lucrative options-
1. In last 10 years, cyber security has become one of the fastest developing career options,due to increased attacks and internet related threats. There are plenty of jobs in the market for these degree holders. Most of the firms are recruiting masters in cyber security for their websites and data to be secure and safe. Even IT giants are not behind in recruiting people with the degree in cyber security.
2. Being an Ethical Hacker, you get paid for using your destructive mind in a rather constructive way. Private companies and government establishments have started involving hackers to secure their database from potential theft and so on the demand for hackers will soar in future.
