At CU, first year is more of compulsory courses on micro, macro, stats and Maths while in second year, there are non-maths courses from which you can opt for. So, You can survive (happily/unhappily depends on u) without Maths background. At ISI, Maths is a must.

Yes, students who have done master's from correspondence, are eligible for the UGC NET exam. It's not necessary to do regular post-graduation courses. Only you should have a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in master.

- B.A. ( correct combination) ( preparation for government. Exam along with B.A)
- B.A. LL.B. ( preparation for Judicary along with LL.B)
- B.A. Hons. English ( BHU, DU, Central University)
