The seat allotment also depends on the college cutoff and a candidate’s preference for that course and college. JoSAA registrations usually begin from the third week of June in online mode. However, the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) manages the counselling process for the remaining vacant seats.

Over the past few years, KJ Somaiya Engineering has been ranked by various ranking bodies under multiple streams namely Engineering, Computer Application, and others. Candidates aspiring to enrol in the BTech programme at IIIT Kottayam must have passed class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with a minimum of 75% aggregate. Also, the candidate should have a valid rank in JEE-Main exam based on which they can apply for the counselling process through JoSAA at IIIT Kottayam for the BTech programme. Selected candidates will be required to report to the admission cell at IIIT Kottayam for document verification and fee payment leading to final seat allotment.

Candidates willing to take admission to the BTech programme at IIIT Kottayam must fulfil the following requirements:

• The candidate must have passed class 12 with Physics, Chemistry & Maths with a minimum of 75% aggregate.

The average package for the BTech programme during IIIT Kottayam placements 2023 was INR 14.32 LPA. Also, 100% placement rate was recorded during placements 2023 in which a total of 76 companies participated. In addition to this, the the highest domestic package and the highest international package offered during placements 2023 stood at INR 58.93 LPA and INR 23 LPA, respectively.
