Yes, the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University (popularly known as BAOU) degree is valid. The degrees, diplomas, and certificates offered by BAOU Ahmedabad are treated at par with other UGC-approved universities' degrees, diplomas, certificates, etc. Hence, the degrees issued by BAOU are valid and accepted by companies and other institutes. 

The MSW programme offered by the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University is exclusively designed for those who have knowledge of the Gujarati language. As this course is offered in the Gujarati medium only. All the subjects taught during the course, including MSW programme is conducted in Gujarati.
