Make a schedule you must finish the syllabus at least 1month before the deadline. Join test series and test yourself after every chapter you finish. Leave last month for revision and revise all chapters and solve previous question papers. This is more important as many questions are repetitive and you get a idea about how actually the paper comes and how to solve it. All the best. You can do it.

Now, for the first year. Download your GATE syllabus and previous year paper for mathematics and any other subject which is there in your first year. Now, don't be tensed much. Just keep doing your college on a regular basis and keep learning the concepts, even the smallest one especially for mathematics and if any other subject you have in your first year according to GATE syllabus. Practice Maths for 1 hour daily for a whole year along with previous year questions also. Hello Abhishek,
It is very nice to see your desire and aim of getting into Jadavpur University computer Science engineering department. It's one of the best in West Bengal and obviously many students who appear for WBJEE give this as first option and hence the cutoffs are pretty stiff. From the information that I gathered for the year 2018 rank of 1000 in OBC category would have got you admission in this course but every year is a different year hence you should aim for getting the rank of about 700 under OBC category if you want to make sure that your admission must be confirmed. Best wishes to you.
