The GIBS Faculty incorporates significant industry relevance in the classroom by utilizing real business experience with academic theory. Most faculty members have worked in corporate or consultancy roles prior to joining GIBS, allowing them to frequently use current business examples (both live and case studies), current business practices, and demonstrate industry trends in class. Classes typically have a combination of simulations, role play, live-case projects, and corporate assignments from real-world businesses. Additionally, the Faculty has a regular practice of hosting guest speakers from industry, alumni, and/or CXO's to provide students with an understanding of the practical challenges of working in a business environment beyond their textbook studies. Faculty also work closely with their students through mentoring, providing guidance for work experience, and providing project feedback to ensure all students are prepared for new jobs and can successfully apply their classroom knowledge to real-world business situations upon graduation.

GIBS combines academic work and holistic development to facilitate the entire development of the student beyond the normal classroom. The institution offers a strong academic curriculum, but it also offers opportunities for students to participate in industry projects, internships, case studies, and guest speakers, allowing students to gain practical experience. GIBS does not just focus on the educational aspect of students' education; in addition to academics, GIBS also conducts cultural events, management events, leadership programs, sports events, and clubs, which help students develop their self-esteem and self-confidence, communication skills, and teamwork skills, and develop their leadership abilities. Faculty members also provide individualised mentorship to their students. They assist students not only in completing their education but also in their career planning and personal development. This combination of rigorous academics, practical experience through an internship, and extracurricular activities, allow students at GIBS to develop in all aspects of their lives: as an individual, as a professional, and as a person.

GIBS supports students in becoming job-ready professionals through industry exposure and significantly enhances their chance of receiving good placement offers. To achieve this, GIBS will provide students with off-campus activities including industry visits, guest lectures, live projects, internships, and interactions with corporate professionals to enhance the understanding of real-world challenges rather than just learning concepts at school. These activities also help develop practical skills in communication, problem-solving, working with others and making decisions, all of which are highly sought after by employers. Employers often evaluate candidates during internships and based on performance in live projects; many of these candidates receive pre-placement offers (PPO). Regular exposure to experts helps current students to be familiar with what is happening in the marketplace, including what are the expectations for candidates during interviews and provides increased confidence during recruitment drives. In addition, meeting business leaders during corporate events and alumni events opens up possibilities for a job opportunity or a referral. Overall, by graduating with real-world experience, a network of contacts and job-readiness, graduates have greatly increased their ability to be successfully placed in a job that is appropriate to their academic specialization.
