As per your query, I would say that every student receives a GATE score which is associated with two points, i.e., valid time period and qualifying marks. Your score is ONLY valid when it is above or equal to the score of qualifying marks.

If you wish to pursue the degree just for gaining knowledge, you can go ahead with distance degree.
But if you wish to practice as a lawyer, then the part time education might not allow you for the same as per the rules of Bar Council of India.

Hi Himanshu, if you want to choose from CA or CS then you should go for CS as it consist of more theortical part. In CA not only Accountany, FM, Costing , Taxation are all practical subjects. And along with CS go for Bcom Honrs in Business Administration that will be a good combination for you to pursue.
