Indian Maritime University (A Central University, government of India) is the best for Marine Engineering Courses. The IMU offers the following UG courses after class 12th.
1. 4-Year B.Tech (Marine Engineering)
2. 4-Year B.Tech (Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering)
3. 3-Year B.Sc. (Nautical Science)

5. 1-Year Diploma in Nautical Science leading to B.Sc (Applied Nautical Science)
All admissions to the various UG (except BBA of the IMU and its Affiliated Institutes will be through all-India Online Common Entrance Tests (CETs). Candidates will be required to qualify this CET in order to be eligible for admissions to the respective Programmes. Date of commencement of Registration for IMUCET First week of April-2020. Eligibility criteria: 10+2 or equivalent (PCM - 60% average and a minimum of 50% marks in English subject in 10th or 12th Examination. ). Note: In the case of SC/ST candidates there will be a 5% relaxation in eligibility marks, it will not apply to English marks. Candidates seeking admissions to Marine Programmes are strongly recommended to have a Passport. Please note that the name in the Passport should be the same as given in the 10th standard Certificate.

There is small difference between BITSAT and JEE Main syllabus. The JEE Main syllabus comprises the Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics while the BITSAT comprises the Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English language and logical reasoning. So preparation of JEE Main can be helpful for BITSAT also but you needs to do some extra work for covering the topics of English language and Logical reasoning in case of BITSAT. There is no shortcut for success you needs to do the in depth study of whole syllabus. Focus on your strength and do not waste your time in attempting the lengthy and unknown questions. Revision of all important scoring topics of math, physics and chemistry is very important. Give equal time to every subject so that important topics and formulas can remains in memory. Birla Institute of Science and Technology (BITS) Pilani will release the BITSAT mock test 2020 for the preparation of exam. BITSAT mock test will be released in online mode in the form of pdf which students have to download and practice. The mock test designed by BITS is of 30 minutes duration while but the BITSAT exam is of 3 hours duration. Students can get an idea about the type and difficulty level of questions which can be asked in exam by practicing BITSAT mock test.
