The difference can be positive or negative. Being a self financing course, they may have mor funds for expansion of activities, infrastructure and facilities to offer better learning experiences. But things can be different. Again some normal (aided)colleges do struggle in facilities due to paucity of funds, but there are exceptions. But faculty profile and reputation among public may sometimes count apart from your knowledge and skills.

Since this is an academic column, let me presume that the question is all about research and academics. Paper Presentation is all about how you put the findings on your research topic or present your topic in front of the enlightened audience including experts. The experts see and rate the genuinty and novelty aspects of the content and way you present it. It happens twice or more when you are in your PhD programme where many universities consider paper presentation in national and international conferences as compulsory for the award of the degree. The advantage is weightage during an interview.
