1. To become a lawyer, you need to get a degree in law by taking up the three-year LLB after obtaining a bachelor's degree in any discipline.
2. For admission into a law school in India, you need to take entrance exams such as-
Common Law Admission Test -
This entrance examination is conducted for admission to 14 of the coveted National Law Schools.

*If you do not wish to write CLAT, you'll not be eligible for 14 National Law Universities in India. However, you have other options-
All India Law Entrance Test- It is conducted for admission to NLU, Delhi exclusively.

LSAT India- is a standardized test designed by the USA based Law School Admission Council for use by law schools in India.

Symbiosis Entrance Test- A common written test, for admission to its undergraduate institutes of Symbiosis International University.

3. You must have strong analytic skills, good interpersonal skills and a keen understanding of the basic principles in order to successfully settle as a Lawyer.
4. After obtaining degree, you can practice as a lawyer. To specialize in any specific law, it may be a good idea to pursue a post-graduate law degree or diploma courses in related field
5. You can join either the Bar Council of India or a local or state bar council by submitting an application.
