Yes. Students with a Diploma in automotive engineering are eligible to apply for the B.Tech Lateral Entry in Automobile Engineering programme. For those with a Diploma in automotive engineering, the three-year, six-semester Lateral Entry in Automobile Engineering programme is intended.

Diploma holders who have completed the first year of the programme are admitted immediately into the second year of the curriculum. Those with diplomas who wish to upgrade to a B.Tech Diploma can do so with this course. The B.Tech Lateral Entry in Automobile Engineering programme gives Diploma holders the chance to advance significantly.

However, I sincerely advise against visiting the automotive branch or any other related branch.
